Hairy crab is a type of Anxi oolong sourced from a small plantation in Gan De Village, Anxi County, Fujian.
Mao Xie literally translates to Hairy crab, which refers to the tiny hairs on the leaves which when brewed float to the top of your cup. It has a thicker liquor than its counterpart Tie Guan Yin, with crisp floral and citrus character and notes of yuzu, melon and buttered greens.
